SubSpace Navigation for Confluence

Excellent app for admins and users.

We switched to the cloud version of this app following a migration to Cloud. It feels very modern compared to the onpremise version of the app and I feel the team is doing a great job to work with (and sometimes around) the restrictions and regulations that apps in the cloud need to face. That being said we had an amazing experience with the customer service regarding a usability feature that we needed: To understand the requirements, Dea, the PO of the app, scheduled a call with us to discuss the requirements. She took the info with her and as it was implementable and added value, the feature was implemented in less than a month. To me, this is a great demonstration of customer centricity and agility. I can absolutely recommend this app over the alternatives for this feature set.

The arrow on the menu bar opens a new tab with "page not found". (Update: team says they are aware and are exploring solutions). When any page is opened, the menu moves to the top of that page and doesn't longer extend across the whole site as in the screen shots. (Update: team says this has to do with that Confluence Clouds only provides that container for this navigation bar addon) The app adds a menu, does not remove the built-in Confluence menu and does not either offer options to edit the built- in menu items. It isn't possible to affect any visual elements like menu bar color, fonts, size and spacing etc. Grey is the color of the added menu bar. It was difficult to get in touch with the support team at first, but eventually after trying by email and also setting up a Jira account just for this purpose, they have been responsive. The configuration is a big buggy, doesn't quite work as expected but works. I really really want this app to work because it is so needed. Please make it work. (I updated this review from one to two stars after some answers from the team, and the addon IS useful, just needs further development).

  Unfortunately Atlassian changed the URL for the space directory. That's what causes the error message. We are currently collecting feedback if we should completely remove the arrow or if it should be customizable by admin users. The error will be fixed in one of the following updates.

  Customization of colors, fonts, size, and spacing is currently not part of SubSpace Navigation for Confluence Cloud. But there is a feature request for it.

  For anything related to design and layout we only have a limited number of endpoints in Confluence Cloud that we can work with. So this puts some limitation on what we can do as an app vendor.

  As the built-in features are not Confluence pages or blog posts you can add the URLs as external links. For more information please refer to our documentation.

  I tried to reproduce the effects that you describe about our support page. Unfortunately they do not occur in my Firefox and Chrome browser. Please send us more information in your support ticket for further investigation.

  We streive to address any feedback and concern in a timely fashion. Please note that our support times are from Monday through Friday from 9 am till 5 pm CE(S)T. It's clearly a must-have app. Without it, users can easily get lost among all spaces. Confluence doesn't provide a clear view in my opinion. But with SubSpace, it's really easy to find what we are looking for (as long as the structure is well built by the administrator, but that's another story)! Thank you.
