Communardos Metadata for Confluence is one of our favourite apps. We often use confluence pages representating objects (or assets) with attributes. In the very beginning we used the standard page properties macros from confluence. That worked well until we hat to add new attributes to our page templates and also to all existing pages of a specific type. With the standard page properties this means to edit hundrets of pages manually - what a pain! Since we switched to Metadata this is done by only a few steps and all existing pages are updated at once in a bulk. This safes a lot of time and makes our templates extremely flexible. Additionally we could add our own Metadata Field Types by using the provided API and programming them. Maybe this is not interesting for all customers but for us (and probably those who can develop their own macros) this is just perfect!

If you don't want to rely on page properties with free text entries, Metadata is a very good solution. There are all kind of field types you need (user picker, group picker, dates, multi or single select fields...) to give detailed information about your pages, especially using it as a process documentation. We use Metadata in combination with Comala Document Management and so are able to define comfortably per page who should give an approval exactly for this single page. The configuration is also very easy so that even space admins without deep technical background are able to handle their own space metadata, if it is afforded. The only thing really missing: To be able to track versions of metadata corresponding to the page history - maybe in the nearer future?

Metadata for Confluence helps us in a simple way to provide Confluence pages with structured information / metadata and thus provide the information in a targeted and automated manner to the right places in the company. We also use Metadata for Confluence in connection with workflows (Comala) to control testing and approval processes for Confluence pages. This brings enormous relief and speed with it, especially in the day-to-day business of quality and project management. Processes in document control that used to take several days now take a few hours or even a few minutes. Dear Communardo team, thank you very much for your brilliant invention!

This app has been invaluable for categorizing our pages in Confluence. We can group metadata fields into sets, associate them with page templates, require page creators to fill in particular fields if needed, and rename fields after they're created. The integration with search in Confluence is also very helpful.  We've used the app to create dashboards and to assign "content owners" to specific pages. We even used metadata to build a "community forum" on Confluence, with fields to track whether questions are answered or waiting for a response. Finally, the support team has been kind and responsive, and receptive to suggestions. Thank you!

This is our current Go-To App to organize our content and make it easier to query and dynamically list our data. Metadata for Confluence is not quite there yet for what we have in mind, but together with other Addons such as "Create Page" (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/157/create-page-for-scriptrunner-confluence) or Page Tree Creator (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1214062/page-tree-creator-blueprint-creator) the possibilities are there. High on my Wishlist currently would be: > Better filtering / reporting options without our users having to learn CQL (date ranges!, metric conditions such as "> or >=") > Conditional fields during entry (if A = Yes, then ignore B in the form) > Enforce Regular expressions during Field entry > Adding default & hidden metadata values that can neither be seen nor changed by users but still include them in sets > Enforcing Metadata Entry even when re-editing pages or better directly allow to edit data like in forms while directly looking at pages.
