Metadata for Confluence

With Metadata we are able to build a better structured and easy concept for a decentralized Knowledgebase within our Confluence. It is absolutely recommendable in terms of categorizing and structure content across different spaces. It's a good tool to build up a decentralized multi-space knowledgebase. For sure there is also room for improvements. Altough named "Checkbox field", it isnt really a "Checkbox field" (multiselect, dropdown). The Metadata Overview Macro is kind of limited (You can only search by metadata itself, but can not add standard confluence search fields. E.g. a free text search --> Search pages with Metadata XY and Content "hello world" is only possible via extended confluence standard search and not with the metadata makros) All in all it is a great tool with even greater potential, what is able to enrich every confluence!

  As for your suggestions. We will add a feature request to rename the checkbox field type. Regarding your remark on the Metadata Overview Macro. In the Metadata Overview Macro it is not that easily possible to search freely with standard Confluence search fields. The only place where you can combine both searches is the Confluence search page as you already remarked.
