View Changes on a Comment
A history icon appears on all comments in the Comment tab that have a comment history. Clicking on this icon will open a dialog containing the comment and its history. These details are also on the comment history tab
The History of a Comment
This popup dialog shows the history of a Comment as accessed from the Comments tab. The top most Comment is the current comment which is followed by the Comments history in ascending order.

Here are three examples of the comment history tab: all comments, only comments that have been changed and the collapsed view of comments that have been changed. Comment changes can also be seen in the comment tab

Comment History for Jira is a plugin for businesses that want or need to track comment changes and deletions. ALL data is stored within Jira and NOT on external servers
This plugin offers the following features:
- Keep track of comments for audit purposes.
- Enable the recovery of comments after accidental or intentional changes.
- View the history in an easy-to-read hierarchical format
- View when changes were made and by whom.
- Filter comment history for ease of searching
- Get an overview of how a comment reached its final state.
- Set access to the Comment History tab to all users or only Admin users (DC Only).
- Search for the last updated/created comment using JQL in the issue filter screen (DC Only).
- View the contents of deleted comments
- All data is stored locally in Jira
